At a public school in Irasburg, Vermont, language arts teacher Wally Rogers gave students a handout tited, “Why Jesus is Better than Santa Claus.” This is a teacher who had the Ten Commandments posted in the classroom. Religious books were on the classroom bookshelves. The teacher’s school-funded website had links to Christian organizations (one link referred students to “evidence for creation”). The questionable material has since been taken down. Principal Paul Simmons said “he’s observed Roger’s class several times and… Read more

Exodus International, the Christian group that purports to “cure your homosexuality,” has its annual conference this summer. Here’s the commercial for it: They don’t actually define what “change” is. They don’t mention what methods they use to “cure” you. Let’s face it: the girl in the video is headed for a lot more heartache if she goes through their program. She doesn’t understand evolution nor does she want to learn where anything she sees actually comes from… it also shows how little thinking goes into the belief in God for so many people. It’s as easy as this. Pathetic. [tags]atheist, atheism[/tags] Read more

Danny Tanner is Islam – Fanatical about the rules. Wants total control of everything around him… Everyone knew of Danny’s controlling streak, and they all took great pains to avoid offending him. 2. Uncle Joey is Judaism – Great sense of humor, self-depreciating, often overshadowed by the other two housemates… 3. Uncle Jesse is… Read more
