I wonder how future church “challenges” will go over with the crowd now that the week of sex is over. Good luck getting the congregation to read the Bible now. … Attempting to draw a contrast with a recent Dallas church’s own 7-day challenge, [pastor Henry] Waldrip suggested that Christians ought to spend more time reading their Bibles. He then went on to challenge his congregation to “read their Bibles every day for a week.” … While many in the… Read more
There was an atheist billboard that was recently taken down in the city of Rancho Cucamonga in California: At first, it was thought that city officials forced General Outdoor Advertising to take down the ad. Then city officials said they had nothing to do with it. Now, the Freedom From Religion Foundation says otherwise. They are suing the city: The Foundation had prepaid for the board and contracted for a two-month run beginning in mid-November. The Board had been up… Read more
Just looking at these actual book covers, I now feel like my childhood was somehow tainted… who knew the Berenstain Bears were evangelical Christians? This, after the atheist group in question had… Read more

Hindu Atheist says that urination and spitting on sidewalks in India is pretty common. Business owners have come up with their own way to protect their property and keep it clean — painting religious symbols on the wall: Well, that’ll hopefully keep Christians from nastying up the walls. Well, this is utterly disturbing. The atheist side of me was excited by the title. The vegetarian side of me was completely disgusted by it… The vegetarian side wins. I don’t understand how/why anyone would take pleasure in this… isn’t there a moral reason to say no to eating this (possibly NSFW)? And if you agree with me, how do you justify being pro-choice?
