Evangelist: Joe Biden Should Tell the World, “I’m Not the Legitimate President”

Televangelist Robin Bullock, who said last November that the COVID crisis could be blamed on people who voted for Hillary Clinton and who said last week that all gay people were actually just straight people inhabited by Satan, is still pushing the Big Lie about the 2020 election.

He said during a church service on Tuesday that Joe Biden must admit that he’s an illegitimate president:

“There’s an opportunity for repentance for Joe Biden,” Bullock declared. “The Lord is giving this word, and he prompted me to do it over and over: You must stand up in front of the American people and admit what happened. Stand up and say, ‘It was a fraud.’ Stand up and say, ‘I didn’t win legitimate.’ Don’t tell your handlers what you’re going to say. Just say it before they can stop you. You would be heralded a hero at that point.”

“It is an opportunity for you to make it right,” Bullock continued. “Stand up before the American people before your handlers can stop you. … The Lord is going to bring it to you and drop it in your heart to do this. Do it. Get up in front of the people before they can stop you and say, ‘Listen, folks, we found out, I know this is a hoax. I’m not the legitimate president.’ And make it right, and everything will transition properly. It is a chance, hallelujah, before the Lord. He extended this hand of mercy.”

We remind you once again: There is zero evidence of systemic voter fraud in the 2020 election. While elections are never perfectly smooth, the idea that the wrong candidate won the presidential race has no basis in reality. Conservatives have had plenty of time and opportunity to make their case and they’ve failed at every turn.

That’s precisely why Republicans are passing voter suppression bills anywhere they can; they understand that when voting is simple and fair, it hurts their side.

But let’s follow Bullock’s line of thinking here: Even if Biden admitted to the world he was an illegitimate president, it wouldn’t automatically put Trump back in power. While there’s no rulebook in place to handle such a situation, Democrats in Congress wouldn’t suddenly hand over an entire branch of government to the losing party. But Bullock has a habit of spreading political lies to his religious congregation.
