Angry Christian Mom Condemns “Irresponsible and Offensive” Hot Sauce Ad

The one conservative Christian mom at One Million Moms (Twitter count: 4,797) is furious that Frank’s RedHot (a hot sauce brand) is airing a commercial that uses the tagline “I put that [bleep] on everything.”

The 15-second ad is from January of 2019, but OMM’s Monica Cole must have just gotten around today to realizing how much it has damaged society.

Frank’s RedHot ad is irresponsible and offensive to customers. This inappropriate advertisement is airing during prime time when children are likely watching. The bleeped-out word creates an unnecessary curiosity in children, and there is nothing funny about swearing or kids mimicking this behavior. The commercial is extremely destructive and damaging to impressionable children.

Nothing the Christian group says should be taken seriously, though, considering the political arm of the American Family Association (which operates OMM) wants you to vote for the president who enjoys grabbing women “by the pussy,” thinks dead soldiers are “suckers,” and uses the phrase “shithole” to describe African nations.

Imagine living through the Trump presidency and getting worked up over a hot sauce commercial. That’s the fantasy world these conservative evangelicals live in.
