Evangelist Ray Comfort‘s film The Atheist Delusion — tagline: “Atheism destroyed with one scientific question” — is now free to watch online. So if Twitter goes down again today, you’ll have another way to get outraged.
My earlier review of the film is right here. As I said then, my atheism wasn’t destroyed by watching this. It wasn’t even nicked. If the complexity of DNA is supposed to make me reconsider my non-belief in God, it’s a sign that Christians have long given up on finding compelling arguments to make their case.
But don’t just dismiss the movie because it’s silly. Watch it because this is an argument some religious people still think is effective. Atheists should be able to respond to it with ease, unlike most of the people Comfort interviews.
You can also check out my interviews with Ray here and here, in which we discussed his tactics and whether this type of film can be considered successful if atheists laugh it off.
