Hemant Mehta is the founder and editor of FriendlyAtheist.com, a YouTube creator, and podcast co-host. He is a former National Board Certified math teacher in the suburbs of Chicago. He has appeared on CNN and FOX News and served on the board of directors for Foundation Beyond Belief and the Secular Student Alliance. He has written multiple books, including I Sold My Soul on eBay and The Young Atheist's Survival Guide. He also edited the book Queer Disbelief.

By the time you read this, I’ll be off in some far-away land enjoying my (slightly-delayed) honeymoon 🙂 The excellent Paul Fidalgo will be taking over while I’m gone. I just wanted to let you all know what’s happening with the $3,000+ that was rejected by the Morton Grove Park District and then by the Morton Grove Public Library (whose trustees called us a “hate group”). Because the money was always intended to help the people of Morton Grove, I will be sending a check to the Niles Township Food Pantry, which helps people who need food and serves the Morton Grove community (among others).
