I’ve made mention before of how much I loved seeing the one-woman show by Julia Sweeney (a.k.a. Pat from Saturday Night Live). The show is called “Letting Go of God” and it’s one of the best stories I know of someone going from religion to atheism. Yesterday, my senator Barack Obama made a speech about how Democrats need to embrace faith. The speech is here. Already, I’ve received a couple emails from Atheist organizations opposing the comments he made. For them, any expression of faith in the public square is anathema to their own agenda.
