Eric Metaxas: I Am “Happy to Die” in the Election Fraud War to Defend Trump

Christian author, Falkirk Center “fellow,” failed racist comedian, and guy who insists Jesus was white, Eric Metaxas, recently offered a message to Donald Trump: I’m “prepared to die in this fight.”

That’s quite a message considering there’s no fight. Much like all the persecution Metaxas loves to talk about, the battle over the election results is a figment of his imagination.

Metaxas said to Trump during their phone call:

We are gonna win. Jesus is with us in this fight for liberty. There was a prayer call last night. You cannot believe the prayers that are going up. This is God’s battle more than it is our battle. God is going to do things… we’re all going to be shocked.

…

I’d be happy to die in this fight. This is a fight for everything. God is with us.

It’s amazing how God seems so invested in keeping Trump as president when the alternative — the guy who won — is unquestionably devout. (“God told me” doesn’t cut it as proof, especially when the election results were clear.)

All of this is especially ironic given that we know exactly how Metaxas behaves during these imaginary battles. He famously sucker punched a protester — attacking him for no real reason — back in August, before laughably scampering away. It’s easy for him to fake this courage when he knows all too well there’s no war going on.

Metaxas is also the author who once wrote an astonishingly inaccurate biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the German theologian who was executed for his part in a plan to kill Adolf Hitler. You would think that a so-called expert in fascism would be talking about fighting against the fascism displayed by the Trump regime, instead of promoting it, but that’s what happens when you reach full-on delusion. Metaxas wants his own “Bonhoeffer moment.” He’s looking at the wrong targets.

Not everyone who disagrees with you is an enemy. Unfortunately for Metaxas, reality isn’t on his side.
