Christian Pastor: I’d Support Trump Even if He Danced on Mother Teresa’s Grave

We joke about how MAGA cultists will defend Donald Trump no matter what he does, but one right-wing commentator has just proven the point.

Pastor Jonathan Shuttlesworth was delivering a rant yesterday about Drag Queen Story Hours when he proclaimed how he would defend Trump no matter what since none of his problems outweighed the idea of drag queens peacefully reading books to kids.

… I don’t care if you find out that Trump fights dogs every weekend in the White House. I don’t care if you find out that Donald Trump runs a dog-fighting ring on Princess Diana’s grave in England. That does not outweigh this!

President Trump has been found running a dog-fighting ring on Princess Diana’s grave — on Mother Teresa’s grave — while having affairs with women… It doesn’t outweigh this!

Well, not to conservative Christians, it doesn’t. But for those of us outside the bubble, I would think at least one of those things would be a dealbreaker.

When Right Wing Watch tweeted that clip, by the way, Shuttlesworth responded with a simple confirmation:

It’s always helpful when Christians’ own words are enough to make them look irrational and foolish.
