One of the necessary adjustments during this pandemic-stricken sports season is that post-game interviews for managers take place over Zoom. That comes with its own brand of awkwardness often involving internet lags and people unfamiliar with the software.
This afternoon, after the Pittsburgh Steelers notched their second win to open the season, Coach Mike Tomlin was answering questions from reporters when someone blurted out “fucking Christ.”
Who said it? There is some finger-pointing online.
Why did that person say it? I don’t know.
Does this count as a religion story? Yes. Yes it does.
I’ll use any excuse to post Tomlin’s priceless reaction:
