When It Comes to the Bible, “Read On” Can Be Awful Advice

Reader Chris noticed that his hotel room Bible actually contained some useful advice:

Crossed out? The words “Read on.”

In their place? “Contact a mental health professional.”

And it’s true: If you’re struggling with depression or feel suicidal, reading a bad book won’t help. Go see people who know what they’re talking about.
