I have to take issue with that final panel. Most of humanity isn’t there yet and I have my doubts as to whether we’ll ever get there. If there’s anything we can learn from the previous panels, it’s that humans will always find a way to complicate their beliefs when their current ones become too foolish to cling to.
We should’ve grown up after the magic rocks. The fact that people still believe in communion wafers containing God’s body, and the resurrection of God’s dead son, and reincarnation and karma just shows that we have a long way to go.
