He has appeared on CNN and FOX News and served on the board of directors for Foundation Beyond Belief and the Secular Student Alliance. He has written multiple books, including I Sold My Soul on eBay and The Young Atheist's Survival Guide. He also edited the book Queer Disbelief.

The Atheists for Science and Reason are now an officially recognized group on the Ball State University campus and, for their first act, they set up shop for Darwin Day, answering questions and handing out Darwin-y valentines! The one-month-old group sat in the Atrium for seven hours on Monday, turning two folding tables into a one-stop shop for anyone with questions about atheism or evolution.
