That plan was foiled after a 14-year-old boy found a camera under the sink and alerted someone else at the church. The footage included children… as well as a shot of Nims grabbing the camera from a different location… which suggested this wasn’t just a one-time thing.
Turns out it was definitely not just a one-time thing. Nims just got arrested once again.
The Calvary Baptist Church youth director accused of hiding a camera inside a church restroom was arrested last week for the third time in less than two months after investigators found eight more videos depicting people using the restroom.
David Nims, 37, of Pensacola, was arrested Friday and charged with eight more counts of video voyeurism…
Did that just say “third time in less than two months”? Yes it did. Because days after that first arrest, cops found illicit sexual imagery featuring children in his home. That’s what led to the second arrest. That same search recovered the SD cards with videos that led to the most recent arrest. Authorities say at least three of the eight videos depict children.
As I said before, Nims’ wife also worked for the church as the “Director of Preschool Ministries.” It’s not clear what she’s doing as a result of these arrests, but neither of them currently appear on the church’s website.
