“Prophet” Has Laughing Fit, Then Calls the Broader Church “Almost Homosexual”

Self-proclaimed Christian “prophet” Jeff Jansen of Global Fire Ministries International has been saying for months now that Donald Trump is still president and will soon return to the White House. He’s even moved the date up to the end of this month.

But none of that explains the weirdness that occurred during his talk at the “REIGN Conference” in Oregon on Friday night.

First, Jansen went into a bizarre laughing fit for several minutes after telling a joke that wasn’t funny… and just kept going.

Here, see if you can figure out what the hell is so funny because I can’t. (You’ll have to avoid the ambient music in the background which somehow makes everything worse.)

There’s no transcript because it’s just a lot of maniacal (arguably fake?) laughter over I-don’t-know-what. It makes Rodney Howard-Browne seem downright sane.

Then, later in the same sermon, Jansen said the church was becoming “almost homosexual” because it was too “effeminate,” letting other people walk all over it. We must be more MANLY, he said. And then he bragged about his home congregation shooting people who get in their way.

“He was a man,” he added. “But the church — the ekklesia, the government of God — has been so neutered and so turned effeminate, almost homosexual. I’m just telling you straight up. It’s just ridiculous. Where are the men? Where’s the maleness? Where is the ‘I will defend the children, I will protect the family’? My ushers at my church, they all pack. I mean, they all pack. You come to my place, and you think about starting something, you’re dead. They’ll kill you. They’ll shoot you because they’re gonna protect everybody else. You try to pull something, you’re dead. I said, ‘Listen, guys, if I’m up there preaching and somebody comes up running, make sure you get them. Just kill ’em. Just shoot ’em dead.’”

Totally normal behavior from people who have far more political power than the rest of us. (Don’t you feel better now?)

The irony is that I’m sure this guy has preached about Jesus urging followers to turn the other cheek without ever once questioning the hypocrisy.
