This is Why Churches Shouldn’t Receive Taxpayer-Funded Loans During the Pandemic

A lot of religious institutions have received hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer-funded loans (which they won’t have to pay back) during the pandemic, courtesy of the “Paycheck Protection Program” (PPP).

Our government shouldn’t be giving money to churches, period, but this problem is even worse since churches don’t have to play by the same rules as other non-profits. There’s quite literally no accountability regarding how churches will use the cash.
