God Will Defeat COVID-19 “In 10 Days,” Said Two Christians More Than 10 Days Ago

Usually, when a right-wing preacher says something political, it’s not hard to find him saying the exact opposite. Just go back a few years and the evidence is there.

Now you only have to wait a few days. Right Wing Watch’s Peter Montgomery has a perfect example of this.

On March 13, Charisma publisher Steve Strang recorded a podcast with Cal Pierce of the International Association of Healing Rooms. Which, somehow, is a real thing.

Pierce said that “in 10 days,” COVID-19 would be completely eradicated. Not just gone, but gone to the point where people would “acknowledge this turnaround to the glory of God.” (You can hear it around the 9:40 mark in the audio here.)

We, as the body of Christ, speak to the mountain of coronavirus, ‘You spirit of death and fear, be taken up and cast back into the sea of hell. You will stop now and leave Earth.’ We decree that in 10 days the world will acknowledge this turnaround to the glory of God. This is the will of God, established by the blood of Jesus, whose authority we must obey.

Strang agreed with the declaration. He certainly didn’t push back against it.

Well. Funny thing about that. It’s been 10 days. The virus is still very much a threat. Who could’ve guessed that God wouldn’t fix anything.

Don’t bother waiting for Strang to acknowledge reality.
