As the joke goes, it’s ironic that Sen. Ted Cruz hates socialism since he seems to love being publicly owned.
After Vice President Mike Pence was put in charge of the nation’s response to the deadly strain of coronavirus, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez noted how irresponsible that was since Pence botched an HIV outbreak as governor of Indiana and generally rejects science at every turn.
Mike Pence literally does not believe in science.
It is utterly irresponsible to put him in charge of US coronavirus response as the world sits on the cusp of a pandemic.
This decision could cost people their lives. Pence’s past decisions already have. https://t.co/NhMPOusOWm

Cruz, who always thinks he’s smarter than he actually is, chimed in by apparently challenging her acceptance of transgender people.
As you are speaking as the oracle of science, tell us, what exactly is a Y chromosome? https://t.co/t4XVVzWr3A

Then she pounced.
Sen. Cruz, while I understand you judge people’s intelligence by the lowest income they’ve had, I hold awards from MIT Lincoln Lab &others for accomplishments in microbiology.
Secondly, I’m surprised you’re asking about chromosomes given that you don’t even believe in evolution. https://t.co/vOIwJhpl7q

And that’s how Ted Cruz learned about ratios…
By the way, while Cruz doesn’t usually bring up the subject of evolution like some of his colleagues, he announced his candidacy in 2015 at Liberty University, which requires students to accept that Adam and Eve were real human beings who lived a few thousand years ago. Even if he’s not a Creationist, he sure as hell loves associating with people who are.
