Here’s How Evangelical Christians Are Influencing U.S. Policy in the Middle East

This may not be new information for regular readers of this site, but in case you’re wondering about the influence right-wing evangelical Christians have on this administration, this video from Vox describes how those Christians have impacted our foreign policy in the Middle East.

Far from doing what’s best for our country, conservative Christians are more interested in doing what they think God wants. And those goals are not-at-all in sync with each other.

It’s bad enough when people use the Bible as a guide for life. It’s so much worse when we ignore the advice of policy experts in order to protect some fictional biblical prophecy.

And yet that’s what Republicans support. Facts are irrelevant when you’re ruled by fiction.
