Rick Wiles: God Sent the Coronavirus Because Parents Are “Transgendering” Kids

Rick Wiles, Christian broadcaster and proud Jew-hater, has a new scathing pronouncement for the public: The coronavirus is a plague sent by God to punish parents for, among other things, “transgendering” their children.

That’s not how anything works, but Wiles never lets facts get in the way of his conspiracies.

Wiles, who made similar wild predictions during the Ebola outbreak in 2014, said that his “spirit bears witness that this is a genuine plague that is coming upon the Earth, and God is about to purge a lot of sin off this planet.”

“Plagues are one of the last steps of judgment,” he warned, saying that China is a “godless communist government” and the United States is not much better.

“Look at the spiritual rebellion that is in this country, the hatred of God, the hatred of the Bible, the hatred of righteousness,” Wiles said. “Just vile, disgusting people in this country now, transgendering little children, perverting them. Look at the rapes, and the sexual immorality, and the filth on our TVs and our movies.”

Silly me, I was led to believe the United States was a “Christian nation.” Now it’s no better than Communist China? Which isn’t it? Both can’t be true.

The Bible has nothing explicitly to say about being transgender. It does, however, have quite a bit to say about not welcoming immigrants or refugees, refusing to take care of the poor, and not feeding the hungry.

So why doesn’t God ever send plagues to the Republican Party? Or when hurricanes and tornadoes hit red states, why doesn’t Wiles ever justify them by pointing out the “sins” of conservatives?

Those are obviously rhetorical questions. We know exactly why he doesn’t.
