There’s a video making the rounds of a brawl breaking out between parents during their seven-year-old kids’ baseball game. Apparently some of the adults didn’t like the calls a 13-year-old umpire was making. It’s just a sad glimpse at irresponsible parents taking a game far too seriously.
But I bring it up here because the person behind the camera starts asking for help from Jesus about 26 seconds in:
Father, in Jesus’ name. In Jesus’ name. Right now! Jesus! If you… [have] faith in the name of Jesus. Father. Right now.
Who knows. Her prayers didn’t help. And I don’t recall anything in the Bible about Jesus calling balls or strikes.
Meanwhile, the Lakewood Police Department (near Denver, Colorado) is still trying to track down the people involved in the incident.
The police department said several people have already been cited for disorderly conduct. Multiple injuries have been reported and one person had a serious bodily injury, according to police.
Officers are still seeking any available information about the fight. They are asking for help identifying one man seen wearing a white shirt and teal shorts in the video.
