Shemima Begum has made her bed and the British government says she should lie in it.
That is, the teen who traveled to Syria from England four years ago, in order to join ISIS and make terrorist babies, is no longer a British subject. The U.K. has decided to revoke the citizenship of the unrepentant jihadi bride, who currently lives in a refugee camp in Northern Syria.
The 19-year-old, who had expressed the desire to return to the UK with her newborn son, will now be banned from entering the country.
It is understood the teenager, who grew up in Bethnal Green East London, has dual Bangladeshi nationality, meaning the move will not render her stateless.
In a letter sent to her family in east London, officials said the Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, had made the decision in “light of the circumstances.”
Presumably those circumstances include the fact that Begum, a pious Muslim who’d harbored high hopes for a worldwide caliphate, treated the U.K. as a hostile nation for the last four years; and that she shows no signs of regret for selling out her erstwhile country and supporting ISIS’ savagery.
I previously wrote about Shemima Begum here.
