Christian “Prophetess” Kat Kerr, fresh off telling an audience that God has a pet unicorn, said at the ELEVATION: RISE UP conference in Tennessee that Republicans would be in power for 24 straight years. (It’s not the first time she’s made this claim.)
“Trump will be there for eight years,” she said, adding that Vice President Mike Pence will then be elected for two terms, after which the person who serves as Pence’s vice president will likewise be elected for two more terms, resulting in “24 years of God in the White House.”“The liberals need to be set free so they can have a life,” Kerr said. “I knew Trump was going to win because I’m a business person and this country needed a business person to be there. God actually said, ‘I don’t need a pastor in the White House, I need a business man in the White House.’ [God] caught me up to heaven four times and showed me everything that would happen concerning Trump and then showed me him sitting as president in the White House.”
You can either cringe at that thought or laugh off her prediction abilities, but don’t ignore the subtle jab against Barack Obama in her comments. By saying that there will be “24 years of God in the White House,” she’s implying that Obama wasn’t really a Christian. He was, in her mind, godless.
That’s not true. But being honest is always a problem for Christians like her.
