Morality Doesn’t Come from the Bible (Thank Goodness)

It’s always strange when religious people claim their morality is based on the Bible when many of the actions of God in the Bible seem so objectively awful.

If you had the chance to stop genocide or murder, would you do it?

In this video, a pastor is taken 3,500 years into the future to a place where morality is relative. But he has the power to prevent the slaughter of a peaceful town. Should he do it?

It’s okay to say those biblical myths are barbaric. They shouldn’t be taken seriously, and they should definitely not be treated as foundations for our own morality.
