When Rhonda‘s brother died in a car accident in 2002, she considered going down the path of religion to give her comfort. But she went the other direction, accepting that she would never be reunited with him. As depressing (yet honest) as that sounds, her decision gave her the motivation to make the most of the time she has left.
She explained all this in a new video made by Seth Andrews:
Rhonda went on to start a chapter of Recovering from Religion in Tulsa, Oklahoma so she could help others taking that journey away from irrational dogma.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to have someone like Rhonda in your community who can help you navigate atheism when your family and friends may be steeped in religion.
