It’s been seven years since Bill O’Reilly told American Atheists’ President David Silverman that God exists because “tide goes in, tide goes out. Never a miscommunication. You can’t explain that.” (Silverman’s reaction became a viral meme.)
Because it’s emblematic of the pathetic arguments made by religious apologists, the YouTuber at Counter Arguments created a short video explaining why O’Reilly’s statement is no proof of God’s existence at all. (And it’s not just because we can tell him how the moon works.)

This is the quintessential example of someone using ignorance as proof of God’s existence.
Even when you offer an explanation for whatever mystery the apologists bring up, they’ll just keep pointing to something else. It’s a game reasonable people can never win because the rules always change.
