During an appearance yesterday on Fox News Channel, Donald Trump‘s “spiritual advisor” Paula White celebrated Christians’ victory in the War on Christmas that no one else knew was even being fought.
And how do sell a gullible audience on a fake war? (Again?)
Simple. You do what evangelicals do these days and just lie about it, since lying to promote Jesus is always acceptable in their code of conduct.

White asked the Fox & Friends hosts: “Isn’t it nice to be able to say ‘Merry Christmas,’ and to put Jesus Christ back on the White House lawn?”
1) Saying “Merry Christmas” was always fine. There’s no reason it would be “nicer” this year unless you believe the Christian lie that President Obama somehow put a stop to it. Indeed, Obama said “Merry Christmas” all the time.
2) Jesus Christ was always on display over Christmas when the Obamas were in the White House because — wait for it — the Obamas were Christian. There was a Nativity scene in the East Room of the White House then, just as there’s a Nativity scene there now. And if you click on that link, you’ll see the Nativity isn’t on the lawn at all. It’s inside the building.
So White was lying about that, too. That’s what she does (when she’s not scamming her followers into giving her money). Lying is what evangelicals are best known for these days. What else is new?
