You’ll be happy to know that we finally understand why God sent a hurricane to Texas.
According to anti-abortion activist Abby Johnson, God just wanted to make sure no one could drive to a women’s health facility in Austin.
Well, here's one divine outcome from Harvey. A tree fell and blocked the road in front of one of our Austin abortion facilities. pic.twitter.com/13pWclwdIS

How’s that for a logical leap? With Hurricane Harvey, God caused billions of dollars in damage, destroyed homes, closed schools, canceled church services, and killed at least nine people.
But at least women can’t exercise control over their bodies!
That’s “pro-life” thinking for you: Living people can suffer and die as long as unborn fetuses are protected.
I guess it doesn’t matter that the tree will eventually be removed, or that people can walk around it (or drive another route) to get to the center, or that the inability to access Planned Parenthood might put patients in even more danger (especially if they’re going for a later term abortion or getting a cancer screening).
It’s deranged, selfish thinking, and yet it passes for compassion in Christian circles.
