A couple of days ago, @eatmyaesthetics posted an image on Twitter that had a lot of people laughing, went viral like you wouldn’t believe, and actually made some people think there was something Satanic about Outback Steakhouse.

With more than 112,000 retweets as of this writing, there are no doubt some people who spread that because they wanted to sound the alarm. It definitely seems like there’s something shady at work here. Why do all those Outbacks form a pentagram?!
It shouldn’t take too long for anyone to see what’s going on here.
Pick any chain restaurant with several locations in one city and it’s almost inevitable you’ll be able to connect the dots the same way.
Here: I did it with Starbucks locations in downtown Chicago.
And before someone alerts Joshua Feuerstein, you can do the same thing with Chick-fil-A restaurants, too:
What’s important to keep in mind is that the pentagrams are never in perfect shape, which gives you a lot of leeway to connect the dots as you please, and you can always skip over additional locations that don’t help your drawing.
So don’t freak out about Outback. And don’t let anyone else freak out either. You can play this game with any place you’d like. Even churches.
