Creationists often say science is a “religion” because it points to secular answers for how we got here, completely discounting the supernatural explanations. They act like scientists are just making up stories and putting their stamp of approval on them. That’s not how it works. Science is a method for discovering observable truth — and it’s self-correcting. That’s what makes scientific conclusions so powerful.
The people who dismiss all that — the anti-vaxxers, climate change deniers, etc. — never seem to understand that.
