1) It’s hard to be an expert on anything you’ve never tried before. Good sex, like everything else, takes practice. And thinking about it is not the same thing as actually doing it.

2) Getting sex advice from Cosmo is like getting restaurant recommendations from Guy Fieri. No sane person would take those ideas seriously.

3) If you want to be abstinent before marriage, that’s your decision, and I wouldn’t judge you for it. But you’re lying to yourself if you think that’ll make the sex better on your wedding night.

Of all the bad faith-based ideas there are, sex negativity has to rank among the worst. This notion that you’re impure or unclean or a sinner if you fool around before marriage is just a lie. It’s nothing more than a way to control you. Have fun. Use protection. Don’t do anything you don’t want to do. And remember that there’s nothing wrong with you for violating your pastor’s demand.
