As You’d Expect, God Was Promoted on Century-Old Chalkboards Found in Oklahoma School

Over the weekend, workers at Emerson High School in Oklahoma discovered slate blackboards that still had writing on it from nearly a century ago.

It seems that Oklahoma circa 1917 isn’t very different from Oklahoma today, still promoting God:

I give my head, my he[art,] and my life to my God and One nation indivisible with justice for all.

Looks like a warped version of the Pledge (though it’s not one of the older versions of the “official” Pledge of Allegiance).

School officials plan to preserve the blackboards, though they haven’t yet given specifics. I’m sure Kansas will appreciate the donations…
