I thought I had heard all the bad arguments Creationists use to discredit evolution: Calling it “evilution,” talking about “missing links,” and there are the 3209412 arguments from ignorance.
Essentially, Horvath is suggesting that, since we don’t know exactly how Mercury came to be the way it is… evolution is a lie.
It’s the God of the gaps fallacy applied to science — the more we learn, the less there is for Creationists to claim as their own. They find every “hole” and pretend it belongs to them because they have nothing to bring to the table.
In the meantime, they have guys like Horvath batting for them. While the rest of us have practically every expert scientist in the world.
