Remember Terry Jones? He’s the pastor who caused worldwide controversy with his “International Burn A Koran Day” on September 11, 2010.
Well, guess what he’s doing now…
The Rev. Terry Jones has opened Fry Guys Gourmet Fries in the food court at DeSoto Square mall [in Bradenton, Florida]. When customers arrive at the counter, they see a drawing of Jones’ stern face front and center in what looks like a police sketch beside pictures of the other two co-owners. Their slogan: “We Take Fries Seriously.”
Mall manager Robert Tackett said he was “shocked” by Jones’ background, adding that the Jones family appeared to be “very nice people” to work with when they signed the lease.
I guess we should be happy that he’s heating up something different. There’s no indication of any direct connection between his hateful anti-Muslim views and his business, but Jones is on the same Al-Qaeda hitlist that Charlie Hebdo cartoonist Stephane Charbonnier was on, and that could mean additional security is needed in the mall.
