Yesterday, I posted about a possibly illegal discount for Christians the University of Missouri was offering for an upcoming women’s volleyball game. Anyone who brought in a church bulletin would get free admission.
At some point, maybe after being alerted to the legal concerns, they also offered printable vouchers that anybody could bring in for free admission. Yet, the Christian discount — now completely unnecessary — remained in place:
The Skeptics, Atheists, Secular Humanists and Agnostics on campus (MU SASHA) had sent multiple emails to the promotions department manager asking why the church discount was still in place, seemingly to no avail. (My own email went unanswered, too.)
But it looks like there was enough pressure put on Mizzou that the church discount is now gone for good:
Success! Free vouchers — and only free vouchers — for everybody!
Just as it should’ve been in the first place.
