LewisGale Hospital Alleghany, in Virginia, just removed all Bibles from their bedrooms, infuriating some Christians.
But this time, atheists had nothing to do with it:
According to hospital CEO Charlotte Tyson, there was a concern that copies of the Bible, telephone books and other printed products might spread an infection from one sick patient who handled them to the next.
The Bibles are now available only at nursing stations, Tyson said, and will be given to patients on request.
“As a Christian, this infuriates me,” [Pastor Hunter] Hale wrote. “I feel this is just another ploy by Satan to bring Christianity down, and Alleghany Regional is allowing it to happen.”
Wow. Satan’s plan is to make Bibles easily available to anybody who requests one? That’s… downright menacing.
Actually, under the hospital’s new policy,
Patients will be offered those materials upon admission and will be allowed to take them home with them.
Other hospitals in the area have similar policies, though none of this information seems to satisfy Hale, who’s too busy screaming about how Christians are being persecuted to notice nothing of the sort is happening.
