What’s that old saying… Once bitten, twice shy?
Cody Coots (below) never got the memo.
Even though his snake-handling father Pastor Jamie Coots died from a rattlesnake bite earlier this year, the younger Coots said at the time that if he were bitten, he would just send the paramedics away as his dad did.
Yesterday, that claim was tested:
Cody Coots was not in a worship service when it happened. He says he was cleaning snake cages Monday when a 6′ rattlesnake bit a finger on his right hand. He said it swelled, but he stayed calm, because his father told him fear would make a snakebite worse.
Cody Coots refused medical treatment and says he feels fine now. He says he is relying on prayer to help him heal.
He got lucky. But he obviously hasn’t learned a damn thing.
How many people have to die before the members of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name church stop with this nonsense?
