Canadian News Host Has No Idea Why a Government-Supported, Christian-Themed Park is a Bad Idea

I’ve posted before about Shepherd’s Garden, a Christian-themed park being built in Sioux City, Iowa, that may be receiving a $140,000 grant from the taxpayer-funded “Vision Iowa” program:

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has been pushing back against the government promotion of religion and attorney Andrew Seidel appeared on Canada’s conservative-leaning Sun News Network to discuss the matter with host (and I’m not making this up) Faith Goldy.

Goldy not only described how she wanted to visit this “Jesus Disneyland,” she tried to pass off Thomas Jefferson as a devout Christian (when, in fact, he removed the supernatural aspects from his own Bible):

At least she let Andrew speak… which is more than I can say about Fox News Channel hosts.

By the way, regarding the question at the end about whether FFRF would oppose a Holocaust museum because it’s about religion, I think I can safely say FFRF has no problem with a history museum that focuses on a very important event, even if that event involves religion. That’s a far cry from a government-sponsored museum that promotes Judaism.
