Congressman Caught in Affair Ran on Christian Values… That Jilted Husband Says He Faked

Cool story, bro.

Family values Congressman is caught on security-camera footage French-kissing a staffer. She‘s out of a job as soon as the affair comes to light… while he makes the usual feeble apologetic noises about having failed his wife and his five kids and his constituents… and gets to keep his position.

Here’s the politician’s pitch before over-credulous voters sent him to Washington:

And here is is totally not succumbing to Beltway temptations, just like he promised he wouldn’t.

As you can see, the kissing Congresscritter, Republican Vance McAllister of Louisiana (hey, that’s David Vitter‘s state!), positively slathered that first video in Christian values… that he doesn’t actually hold, according to the jilted husband of the female staffer.

The husband of the staffer caught kissing Rep. Vance McAllister (R-LA) says that while the congressman ran as a religious man who cherished family values, he wasn’t actually religious.

“I know his beliefs. When he ran one of his commercials, he said ‘I need your prayers,’ and I asked, ‘When did you get religious?’ He said, ‘When I needed votes,’” Heath Peacock, 34, told CNN Tuesday. “He broke out the religious card and he’s about the most non-religious person I know.”

Politics, of course, is full of “Christians” who fit that description. Currently, not a single member of Congress self-identifies as an atheist, because everyone knows that heathens would compromise the exemplary honesty, integrity, and golden-rule-loving kindness that principled leaders like McAllister bring to the table.
