A Short Film About Giving Up Faith and Gaining Even More

If you were at the London Short Film Festival last month — and I’m sure you were — you may have seen Nathan Deming‘s 20-minute film about giving up his faith and regaining both his sexuality and sanity. It’s called “Tongues” and he just put it online (some scenes NSFW):

Incidentally, Deming tells me that he used to be one of those guys who made “snappy little intros for the pastor’s sermons” at church. He also added that nearly every line in the film was inspired by something he heard in church growing up — everything from “sexual purity” to “100% on fire for God.”
