Even Pat Robertson Thinks Ken Ham Is an Idiot

You know who else doesn’t think too highly of Young-Earth Creationist Ken Ham? This guy:

Not that we should put much stock in Pat Robertson when it comes to timelines (when you watch the opening seconds of the video, he seems to think that a 1650’s book was published in the 1800s, and that those centuries were “the Middle Ages”), but at least Robertson is happy to throw Ham under the church bus, rightly dismissing him as a kook.

Other Christians thought that last night’s debate was pretty much a disaster for Christianity, too. Left-leaning Patheos blogger Ben Corey minces no words:

With Ken Ham as the “representative” of Christians, it would be reasonable for an outsider to assume that he accurately represented the Christian faith and what it means to be a Jesus follower. As if there weren’t enough barriers to faith already, Ken has just erected new barriers by creating the stage for people to assume that following Jesus means you share his fringe beliefs.

If I were an outsider, I would correctly assume that following Jesus means I must check my brains at the door in regards to science.

Did he really just write “correctly“? As long as we’re assuming, I believe that was a slip, Freudian or otherwise. Anyway:

Ken just picked up the Jesus movement and carried it backwards ten steps.

I’m looking forward to the next time Ham debates a scientist.
