This Is So Much More Amusing Than a Nativity Scene

Why does anyone bother with a Nativity scene when you can buy a Negativity scene for under $20?!

Via This is Why I’m Broke, which explains the setup this way:

As the Negativity Scene demonstrates, the first Christmas was not a happy event. Mary never got the epidural she requested, John kept having to deal with the curious goat, and the three wise men had to walk so much they didn’t even make it on time for the birth.

I would love to see the look on some random Christians’ faces when they see this on your lawn and smile, only to walk a little closer and realize what it really is…

Oh, I thought they were scowling because someone said “Happy Holidays”.

Need a yard size display for next year. Actually I think it’s pretty accurate, not many happy faces around churches this time of year.

I hate it when they leave out the camels.

  • Rhodent

After the GEICO commercial I’m fine with them leaving out the camels.

Hate the ad writers, not the camel.

  • allein

AMC theaters is using the camel as a pre-movie shut-up reminder.

  • The Starship Maxima

    Okay, that was funny.

  • Well, if I remember the story correctly, a few days before, Mary and Joseph went to see the Oprah, but there was no room at the Oprah Show. They tried the The Phil Donahue Show, but there was no room there either. Rikki Lake, — no room. Sally Jessy Raphael – no room. After days of travel, Mary and Joseph ended up staying in a stable called the Maury Show. And it was there, that Joseph heard from the mouth of St. Maury the words “You are not the Father.”

Panicked, Mary said that she was sure that John was the baby daddy. Of course shortly there after, John, too, learned that he was not the father. St. Maury promised a tear-ridden Mary, that he would do anything to help her find the real baby-daddy, even if it meant the he had to publicly humiliate her a dozen times on national television during sweeps week.

I think that is how the story went.
