More Ways to Help the People of the Philippines

As I wrote a few days ago, the Foundation Beyond Belief is asking atheists (and anyone else who would like to join us) to help with the relief efforts by contributing to our Humanist Crisis Response program. 100% of your donations will go to Citizens’ Disaster Response Center, a community-based relief organization in the Philippines.

But that’s not the only way you can help out.

The Center for Inquiry’s Skeptics and Humanists Aid and Relief Efforts (SHARE) is giving 100% of donations to Oxfam. (You can donate here.)

The American Humanist Association is asking you to give directly to PATAS (the Philippine Atheist and Agnostic Society),

Donations are greatly appreciated and every penny will be used to bring food and potable drinking water to as many people as we can reach. PATAS-Cebu is now preparing for an outreach program for the victims of Yolanda (Haiyan). The target area of our program will be Hilotongon Island of Cebu.

It doesn’t matter how you give. Just give. And if it makes you feel better to give as part of a larger community, those are all excellent ways to do it.
