My First and Last Video Blog… August 6, 2012

My First and Last Video Blog…

At Foundation Beyond Belief, we want more people to join our Light the Night teams to raise $1,000,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

And I made a video for it. I don’t do videos. I have no plans on doing more videos. But here you go:

I don’t know how all those YouTube people do it. I think that was Take 13 and the only reason I didn’t do more was because I had to go somewhere.

Join a team and donate some money to the cause! Or else I’ll have to make another video and it’ll just be me cursing at the world.

What Are Your Thoughts?leave a comment
  • I think a lot of people rely on jump cuts. Do a bunch of takes, splice all the best parts together, and assume people will think that’s your edgy modern film-making style instead of just haste. 🙂

P.S. Thanks for coming to Omaha this weekend! I went to Amanda Brown’s talk but I wish I’d been able to hear yours, too.

It would look cooler if you had a fake window behind you with a view of the Chicago skyline.

I have a Facebook page for Wyoming Atheists and made a team and also made a poster for my friend who is the library director at the local community college to hang up. Unfortunately, we have only had a few sign up to our team.  Fortunately we have still made about 150 dollars.

  • In my mind, I just gave you the finger.

  • Hey, you’re good at this. And exactly as I expected you to be!

  • I saw there are 3 different teams in Chicago, all on the same day in Grant Park. How does that work? Are there 3 different walks at different times?

Also, the YouTube people (i.e. Cristina Rad) do it by editing their videos, so they don’t need one long perfect take.

You’re a good lad, and I fully support your fundraising efforts.

Pity you have such a closed mind, though, about the nature of our existence.

    Greetings from Ireland.

  • We’re all at the same walk! Just different groups going after different populations 🙂

Thank you so much Hemant.  I follow your blog “religiously”.  I was diagnosed in September 2011 with Multiple Myeloma which falls under the Leukemia Lymphoma banner.  I am so thankful for all the good deeds our community does.  I am almost at my 100 day mark after my stem-cell transplant.  I am having my 58th birthday Wednesday because of all the good doctors, nurses, research staff and the entire staff at our local Cancer Hospital. Thank you for choosing this charity and even making a video to advertise it!  I really appreciate it and so do all my friends and relatives!
