1) WHY do you think that he is misrepresenting anyone’s intentions?
2) No, you don’t have to be a Catholic to be against the use of contraception, but what’s your point?
3) Why do you think it would be liberating to live in a world where condoms had nothing to do with sex?
Gordon Duffy
no, I think it’d be great if people like you would stop telling lies though.
It would be liberating, yes. Unfortunately, as of yet, we haven’t found a more convenient way to practice safe sex that doesn’t require you to take a drug or use an implant or something. Maybe someday there will be a way.
Michael
Isn’t it so strange how people dangle the idea of a world where… and avoid the point that we don’t live in that world?
Stev84
No, you don’t have to be a Catholic. Just an idiot
jdm8
You don’t have to be Catholic to be against contraception, but if you’re against contraception, you’re most likely Catholic. The Roman Catholic Church is probably the largest organization & religion to such a strong stand against contraception. I haven’t found any other major religion that makes a similar stance. Number two in line might be the Quiverfull folks.
“But seriously wouldn’t it be liberating to live in a world where condoms had nothing to do with sex?”
Why? This is a non sequitur. Condoms were made FOR sex. Condoms may have incidental secondary uses, but that’s the equivalent of a jerry-rig for something else that made specifically for those secondary uses that would do it better and cheaper. For example, if you want water balloons, a condom might be the same price as a half bag of water balloons.

I guess it might, after we’ve gotten better means of contraception that do the job of preventing pregnancy and STDs, and everyone has an equal, higher, level of sex education–which, by the way, 1Flesh is not a part of, and their campaign of misinformation to push agenda is disgusting.

Emotions rent asunder and all is well.

That’s like saying it’d be liberating to live in a world where we can screw in screws without a screwdriver, fly without planes, or survive cold climates without cloths. But we do have those things, and the world goes merrily on.
I’m not criticizing you, fyi, despite sounding sarcastic. Just pointing out that we’re tool makers, and we depend on the tools to make up flaws nature gave us. Yes, it can be inconvenient to rely on these tools, but considering how far we’ve gotten despite the inconveniences, which we can overcome, I’m sure we’ll live.

“What do condoms have to do with sex?”
The sad thing? I doubt no one has ever said that.
Deven Kale
Actually, the sad thing is that too many people do say that. Too many people as in victims of abstinence only sex education.

Um crap, I think I got the grammar wrong…
Deven Kale
DOH! You’re right, I misread. I saw “I doubt anyone,” so yeah, my bad…
