I have a confession to make:
I have never read the Bible. I read Genesis for a lit class in college, but when I tried to power through some more, I nearly died of boredom.
Jacob Fortin of TheGoodAtheist.net feels our pain and has a solution.
It’s called Bible Stories, and he is translating the Good Book into something a bit more entertaining and a little funnier… and he will not be glossing over the insane crap that gets dropped from any given children’s Bible.
And he’s illustrating the whole thing himself! Check out this cover:

He launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the project, and he has some pretty cool incentives in exchange for your contributions. Of course, you can get either a hard cover, soft cover, ebook or PDF copy of the book, and you can also get the audio book, but check this out: If you donate $250, you get your face drawn into the book:

So go forth and donate, gentle reader, and be generous to our friend Jacob.
While you’re at it, stop by his blog or listen to his podcast.
Still not convinced?
Here’s the man himself to tell you about his project:
How can you say no to that?
