  • Next time somebody ends up with one of those “teach the controversy” nutjobs they should demand the teachers teach *all* of the creation myths.  Before you can say “praise the Lord” the wingnuts will be whining about their kids being taught falsehoods and having no time for academics.  

  • I would be happy to teach the controversy. I would be very happy to teach the political controversy, including an account of the efforts to repackage that political controversy as a scientific one.

    Just like covering elections as a horse race and which candidate is getting the most money, rather than addressing issues. Sounds like a great job for journalism class and political science class, but not science class.
