A Clever Alabama License Plate

I’m at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa today to speak to the Alabama Atheists and Agnostics.

Reader Brian pointed out that I might appreciate his AL license plate:

Love it! It manages to temporarily avoid controversy… and then creates even more 🙂

"The way republican politics are going these days, that means the winner is worse than ..."

"It would have been more convincing if he used then rather than than."

Took me a second, but love it!

  • Matthew Eckermann

    It is the perfect plate.

Clever if you like walking out of Wal-Mart to find a smoldering pile of rubble where your car used to be. It’s still Alabama.

  • Bama Atheist

Roll Tide, Brian! I miss Tuscaloosa…

  • John Sherman

Just suppose this plate was commission by a very religious person who didn’t see until too late what they were doing! Now THAT would be funny!

  • RTH

    Here’s my plate.

We’ve toyed with getting “NefU3:16”.  This refers, of course, to “For da Fwyink Spasgeddi Monstur so wuved da worl, he drank a lotta beers and made naked ladies.”

  • My daughter attends UA so I have a sticker on the rear window of my car. My friend and fellow atheist commented on it shortly after I stuck it on. “Nice atheist sticker!” I replied “No, it’s for the University of Alabama, but I like your thinking.” Since then, my sticker has taken on a dual meaning. Roll Tide Roll!

A Crimson Tide license plate?  I’m offended.

  • Lagerbaer

Tide rolls in, tide rolls out… amiright?

  • Tinker

    Roll Tide!

  • Hemant, you were excellent and we had a lot of fun. Thanks for making the engagement a great experience for all of us. If you [readers & posters] ever get a chance to see Mr. Mehta speak, go see him. It was very informative and he had us all cracking up. One of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.

Good reason to stay away from Wal-Mart. And Alabama.

  • I wonder what they’d do if S.S. Hole wanted to put his name on a custom license plate…

The O’Reilly license plate? Oh, wait no.

  • War Eagle! I still like the plate.
