When I did it last year (or maybe, seems like 2 years ago?) it was with the red A and one friend thought it was ‘Adulterer’. My atheist cousin explained before I had a chance to and my friend said “Oh, ok, I guess that’s better”. He never struck me as religious, so I’m not sure why it was a questionable equation, but he’s still my “like the occasional pic” friend.
I haven’t noticed losing any this year, but it’s pretty hard to NOT know I’m an atheist.

Coincidentally, this monday is when the secret identity of “A” on some TV show called “Pretty little liars” was revealed. So a few of my Facebook friends had messages that it was “A-Day”. I got excited for a second before I realized what it really meant.
When my family moved to Texas, they started getting all their news from Fox and conservative media. Now they do nothing but rant and rave all day about how Obama is destroying the country, waging war on religion, trying to convert the U.S. to Socialism and was born in Kenya as a Muslim.
Yeah… we don’t talk anymore.

I’ve always had a problem with the Scarlet A used for this event.
Anyone who’s even a little well read will immediately think of Adultery.
I have no problem with people knowing about my lack of faith but I really don’t want to explain how I’m not an adulterer to everybody that asks.
Then there are the people that won’t bother asking about it and will be deprived an explanation but be left with a wrong impression.
