Why couldn’t he have held on for at least another week? I’d have loved to see him properly eulogize Kim Jong-Il.
Pseudonym
That’s really unfair. He lost a lot of weight on chemotherapy.
Incidentally, has anyone seen any actual people saying “Hitch must have changed his mind” or something like it? I suspect it’s a straw man.

I have not seen any articles claiming a deathbed conversion, but Worldnetdaily as usual offers an all too predictable article on the matter. Hitchens despite his intentions was serving God all along. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=378513
Actually, that article, despite its obvious origins, is surprisingly unbiased and certainly does not say that Hitchens was serving god. It struck me as thoroughly respectful and honest. Which surprised me.

I’ve seen a “we will never know if he repented at the last minute”
In the comments section of the eulogy by Herman there were a lot people with the “no atheists in foxholes” and saying he probably changed his mind while he was about to die” T_T
i respected his atheism. but he stuck his foot in it a lot, and i guess now that he’s gone i’d like to talk more about a newer, less celebrity type of atheist. there are many examples, and hemant is only one of them. it’s his turn, now.
